Plagiarism Policy

IJMAER enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and unethical research practices. Any proven case of serious plagiarism will result in:

  • Immediate rejection or retraction
  • Blacklisting of authors for future submissions
  • Reporting to relevant academic or institutional authorities, where appropriate

Acceptable Similarity Threshold:

IJMAER follows internationally accepted similarity standards:

  • Overall similarity index: should not exceed above 20%
  • Single source similarity: should not exceed above 3%

Manuscripts exceeding these limits may be:

  • Returned to authors for correction, or
  • Rejected outright, depending on severity

If plagiarism is detected at any stage:

Before Publication

  • Minor overlap: Authors will be asked to revise and resubmit
  • Major overlap: Manuscript will be rejected immediately

After Publication

  • Publication of a correction or retraction, depending on severity
  • Notification to the author’s affiliated institution, if required
  • Permanent removal of the article from the journal archive in extreme cases
