Plagiarism Policy
IJMAER enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and unethical research practices. Any proven case of serious plagiarism will result in:
- Immediate rejection or retraction
- Blacklisting of authors for future submissions
- Reporting to relevant academic or institutional authorities, where appropriate
Acceptable Similarity Threshold:
IJMAER follows internationally accepted similarity standards:
- Overall similarity index: should not exceed above 20%
- Single source similarity: should not exceed above 3%
Manuscripts exceeding these limits may be:
- Returned to authors for correction, or
- Rejected outright, depending on severity
If plagiarism is detected at any stage:
Before Publication
- Minor overlap: Authors will be asked to revise and resubmit
- Major overlap: Manuscript will be rejected immediately
After Publication
- Publication of a correction or retraction, depending on severity
- Notification to the author’s affiliated institution, if required
- Permanent removal of the article from the journal archive in extreme cases
